Hey folks,

For those of you who have watched the news or picked up a paper today, you may have seen the story about Daniel Bobis, the Long Island native who went missing yesterday while surfing in Indonesia.

I met Daniel a few years ago and we've worked together on a few projects here on Long Island, the most recent being a beach cleanup down in Long Beach last summer. Aside from being a fellow surfer, Daniel is a teacher, a husband, and a member of the Long Island music scene. When I heard the news of his disappearance, I felt obligated to help out in any way I can.

Daniel's wife is still in Indonesia doing everything she can to organize search parties. Due to a lack of help from local authorities, friends and family have already maxed out credit cards trying to raise cash to fly in helicopters or get jet skis in the water to search for Daniel.

Here on Long Island, we always help each other out in times of need, and I'm very fortunate to have a lot of great, talented friends who are going to come down tomorrow and help raise money for Daniel's rescue. I'll be doing an acoustic set, and so will a lot of other great dudes.

There will be donations taken at the door, and we appreciate anything that you can give. This is the quickest I've ever thrown a show together, but we've got to be quick, and I would like to get the cash to Daniel's wife as soon as possible.

Thank you for reading, and thank you for your love and support.

- Ryan Hunter
